Blessed Friday 13th - A Good Day For All

Friday 13th - the luckiest day 🍀

Common misconceptions regarding this day unfortunately stem from demonisation by patriarchal faiths and Hollywood tropes.

In fact, this day is one of the most important and joyful days for Witches and Wiccans alike! 🧙‍♀️

Friday - Frigga’s day (‘day of Frig’ in Old English or ‘Freya’s day’ in modern Scandinavian)
A sacred day held in high esteem as the day to receive blessings and gifts from the gods and goddesses and as such follows good fortune and good luck.

13 - a powerful number associated with fertility, womanhood and the goddess. 13 cycles of menstruation, 13 orbits of the Earth by the moon and 13 stages of life (Egyptian).

*It should be noted at this point, that because of a certain mischievous Norse god, our brothers and sisters that follow Viking and Norse ways know that there should be no more than 12 guests invited to the dinner table! 😲

Combining these two powerful aspects: Friday 13th is a day of double celebration that should be held in high regard much more than what it has become in these modern times.

By Gods and Goddess decree,
Know you’ll be blessed and gifted busy bee.
The dance of the Universe plays with you beneath,
She, as you, lives and breathes.
Hold yourself strong, mind and faith complete,
Let none darken this day with lies and deceit.
Come out of the woods,
It’s important you see,
The wonder and magick of Friday the 13th
